FEA consultancy: know where it fails before it does
Finite element analysis that answers whether it will survive, where it is weakest and what should change. On your model or ours.
What we analyse
Tell us the loads, the materials and what the part has to survive. We agree the right study with you before work starts.
- Stress analysisLinear static and contact analysis: where stress peaks, how far it deflects and how load shares between parts.
- Non-linear analysisLarge deflection, yielding, rubber and changing contact, where linear results stop holding.
- Vibration and modal analysisNatural frequencies, mode shapes and forced response, kept clear of running speeds.
- Fatigue analysisWhere cracks would start under repeated load, and how many cycles the design will see through.
- Thermal stress analysisTemperature fields and the stress they cause, from mismatched materials to thermal cycling.
- Drop test and impact simulationPeak loads and deformation in a drop or impact, and which parts are at risk.
Results you can act on
- Clear answers
- What passes, what doesn’t and by how much, in plain engineering language.
- Changes to the design
- Practical changes to geometry, material or process, made by engineers who can make them.
What do you need to start an FEA study?
A STEP model or drawings, the materials, the loads and constraints, and what the part has to survive: load cycles, temperatures, and any design code or standard that applies.
Can you fix the problems the analysis finds?
Yes. The same team designs products, so the changes the analysis points to come back as a revised model and drawings.
Do we need any particular software?
No. We design in Autodesk Inventor and work from STEP and most native formats.
Can results be reported against a particular design code?
Yes. Tell us which code or standard applies and we report the results against it.
Do you only do FEA?
No. We also run CFD, thermal, electromagnetic and multiphysics studies, and take products all the way from specification to production.
