Into production, with the designers still involved

Parts made by CNC machining, 3D printing, injection moulding or sheet metal fabrication, from short runs to volume. When something needs to change after launch, the engineers who designed it make the change.

Release to production is where small gaps in a design become expensive. A process that worked for twenty parts struggles at two thousand, a supplier reads a note differently, or a finish behaves differently in volume.

We take the engineering pack into production with you, by the processes and suppliers that suit the part, and stay involved when changes are needed. The same applies to products already selling: if a part is failing, distorting or costing too much to make, we look for the likely cause and change the design or the process.

What you leave with

Parts made the right way
Process and supplier matched to the part, the volume and the cost target.
Changes made by the people who know the design
Design changes after launch, with the drawings and parts list updated together.
Problems traced to a cause
For parts already in production, the likely cause of a failure or defect, and what to change.

Questions this stage answers

Can you help with a product that is already in production?

Yes. Send the problem, photographs and the production route. We look for the likely cause and set out the changes to design, material or process.

Can we keep our existing suppliers?

Yes. The pack is written so any capable supplier can quote from it, including the ones you already use.

Which processes do you cover?

CNC machining, 3D printing, injection moulding and sheet metal fabrication, from short runs to volume production.

What happens when a change is needed after launch?

We make it in the design and drawings and pass the updated files to your suppliers, so everyone builds the same thing.

Case study

A likely cause, traced to how the part is made, and the changes that address it.

Why a thin aluminium disc warped, and how to stop it

A precision aluminium disc with a thin web was distorting after machining and anodising. The client needed to know why, and what to change.
